Duties include the following, but not limited to:
Drafting, and reviewing all contracts in the field of:
Property Law (Leases/ Servitude agreements/ Sales agreements, Addenda)
Facilities management services
Construction and property development law
Colocation and ancillary agreements relating to the masts and towers business
Providing legal advice to subsidiaries and Telkom Group on all matters relating to property/ Construction law, and the masts and towers business.
Negotiating all applicable contracts/ service level agreements on behalf of the Group and subsidiaries with internal and external parties
Researching and providing legal guidance on applicable legislation for compliance purposes relating to the acquisition/ disposal/ occupation of property and in the masts and towers business
Coordinating all legal matters for the purpose of instructing external attorneys in various property related matters
Manage the resolution of disputes with landlords and tenants on owned and leased properties
Providing legal support and assistance on various property development projects to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
Drafting opinions/submissions /memos to internal stakeholders at various levels in Group
Review and analyse settlement proposals on disputes with suppliers and customers - work with portfolios with regards to obtaining the best possible settlement proposal for the portfolio
Identify, manage and monitor legal risks within the company, as well as its client to whom the company provides a services

Admission as an attorney
LLB Degree (NQF level 8)
7 years experience, of which 5 years must be post admission legal experience in the property and built environment/ construction

Other special requirements:
Must have strong contract drafting and negotiating skills
Knowledge of the masts and towers industry
Ability to independently deliver high quality of outputs timeously within highly pressurized deadlines
Ability to apply a business strategy to a legal principle
Meticulous, self-motivated and a problem solver, who takes initiative
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The highest integrity and professionalism
Eager to learn, energetic and enthusiastic
Assertive, tenacious and resilient
Works well within team environment
