New Hanover Preparatory School is a co-educational Pre-Primary and Primary School, offering education in a country setting from Grade RRR to Grade 7. A full time, permanent position is available at New Hanover Preparatory School for a Head of Sport. We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, qualified and ideally, experienced educator/sports person. Only suitably qualified and experienced candidates should apply. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and sustaining a vibrant PE curriculum and a diverse afternoon sport programme.

Commencement Date: January 2019.

The ideal candidate must:
Have 5 years experience working with children from Grade R – Grade 7 is an advantage.
Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the latest developments in Primary School education and sport.
Previous experience in school leadership would be an advantage.
Computer literate and strong administrative skills.
The ability to work as part of a team and have good communication skills.
SACE Certificate and all recognised/relevant teaching and coaching qualifications.
Must be prepared to be involved in after-hours and week-end work and play a significant role in the Extra Curricular Programme.
Should be prepared to uphold the Christian Ethos and values held by New Hanover Preparatory School.
Must be committed to the best interests of all children and be prepared to support a Sports Policy which balances winning with encouraging participation.
PDP Licence and recent First Aid qualification would be an advantage
