Grayston Preparatory School is an independent, co-educational preparatory school with a values based ethos situated in Sandown, Sandton.
The Deputy Head: Co-Curricular is a Senior Management post and forms part of the School Executive Committee. The person in this role heads the co-curricular programme consisting of sport, culture and external co-curricular activities. The Deputy Head: Co-Curricular should have
an understanding of the ethos of the School and would be responsible for aligning the cocurricular with the strategic vision of the School.
Applicants for the Deputy Head: Co-Curricular should fulfil the following requirements:
Have a proven track record with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership role
An ability to lead by example and manage a team of teachers, coaches and external cocurricular providers
A recognised teaching qualification and have current SACE registration
Exceptional planning, organisational and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong track record of effective administrative abilities
Must be prepared to be involved in after-hours and weekend work and be willing to represent the School at functions and events
High levels of computer literacy and event planning
A commitment to ongoing personal development with a future-orientated approach
An ability to take the initiative and reflect on all aspects of implementation
Be willing to run enrichment programmes such as outreach, fundraising, student camps and tours etc.
