Job Description

Minimum requirements:
 Master’s degree in Information Systems (or related discipline) PLUS evidence of active registration and study
for a PhD in Information Systems.
 TERP10 or equivalent SAP certification.
 At least 5 years’ lecturing experience in higher education.
 Demonstrable technical skills in programming, databases, web design and business intelligence.
 Proven experience in curriculum and workshop design and delivery.
 Special didactic expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning, Business Intelligence and Business Processes.
 Proven experience in course organization and management of Learning Management Systems.
 Be able to maintain and extend a network with academics across sub-Saharan Africa.
 Research experience and a publication record.
 Research:
o Undertake relevant research on the ESEFA programme including analysis of programme evaluation data.
o Publish research findings annually.
o Market, develop and grow the collaborative research and teaching network with academics from the other
Universities in the programme across Sub-Saharan Africa.
o Submit funding proposals and support the PI in writing grant applications
 Teaching:
o Teach short courses and train the lecturer courses across sub-Saharan Africa using SAP S/4HANA, SAP Lumira
and other associated technologies.
o Manage the testing and updating of existing workshops as technology changes.
o Supervise post-graduate student research projects on ESEFA topics.
o Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Department as required.
 Administration:
o Manage the administration of the research programme’s revenue and expenses.
o Manage the LMS course environment including the associated social components, the online Quiz component,
and the online web and social platform resources.
o Manage support for the SAP workshops and online quizzes for all ESEFA partner universities, forwarding
technical problems through to the University Competence Centre.
o Contribute to leadership and/or administration roles at course, departmental, Faculty and/or University level,
as appropriate to the job level
