Job Description

The duly completed Z83 application form must be accompanied by a duly
signed and dated Application Letter, Comprehensive CV and certified
copies (not older than three (3) months) of original qualifications, Identity
documents. If the post advertised is to fill an Educator vacancy, the
qualification transcripts certified copies (statement of results); not older than three (3) months are to be attached to the application [SAQA results for internal posts]. Forms without relevant documents will not be considered. The successful candidate will be subjected to a verification of qualifications and security clearance checks. Interviewed applicants will be subjected to a competency assessment where necessary.
Correspondence will only be entered into with shortlisted applicants.
Shortlisted applicants will be expected to pay for their own travelling costs.
If the post becomes vacant by virtue of Natural Attrition, the vacancy may be filled in an Acting capacity. Where the post is filled in an acting capacity,it will be re-advertised every twelve (12) months to provide fair and equal opportunity until the post is permanently filled. Successful candidates are
only to assume duty on receipt of an official letter of appointment duly
signed by delegated authority. The college reserves the right to readvertise the post if none of the applicants meet the inherent requirements
of the post. Where there is misrepresentation of facts, or any other
deviations from these procedures, regulations, or collective agreements,
the college reserves the right not to fill the post or posts affected.
REQUIREMENTS:  Incumbent should have a relevant Senior Certificate / Grade 12/ NCV Certificate
(Level 4)
 Incumbent should have a (REQV) Relevant Equivalent Qualification Value
REQV 13 (Matric+3) / REQV 14 (Matric+4) qualification in the Electrical
Engineering field.
 A relevant teacher’s qualification will be an added advantage.
 Assessor and Moderator will be added advantage.
 Certified copy of membership certificate with South Africa Council for Educators
(SACE Certificate) or proof of registration will be added advantage.
 A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an artisan.
 A relevant Trade Test Certificate.
 Incumbent should be able to be conversant with health and safety practices.
 Good computer skills.
 A good understanding of stocktaking.
 A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage.
DUTIES:  Actual contact hours between 22.5 hours and 25 hours per week.
 Incumbent will work as a Tutor/Instructor in the Electrical Workshop facilitating theoretical and practical training.
 Set up and mark assessments of students.
 Professional duties [attend workshops and meetings].
 The capturing of attendance and academic performance of students.
 Parent/Guardian interaction.
 Counselling of students.
 Providing relevant electronic data to the Senior Lecturer and/or Head of Division [HOD].
 Any other reasonable task as determined by the Senior Lecturer and/or Head of Division [HOD].
