Junior School Physical Education Teacher and Foundation Phase Co-ordinator

We are therefore looking to appoint a Junior School Physical Education and Foundation Phase Co-ordinator who will report to the Head of Junior School Sport. The candidate is expected to excel at coordinating all Foundation Phase Physical Education and Sport activities.
The successful candidate will:
Have an appropriate 4 year degree with at least 5 years teaching experience
Be registered with SACE
Be involved in the teaching of physical education and extramural sport from Gr. 0 – 7
Have relevant skills to teach in more than one of the following sports: athletics, diving, hockey, netball, squash, swimming and tennis
Foundation Phase qualifications and extensive netball, swimming, athletics, squash and/or tennis coaching experience will be advantageous
Have good interpersonal and communication skills
Have good administrative and computer skills
Maintain and encourage a love for physical activity through participation
Appreciate working in a values-driven, Christian environment
Be able to uphold the ethos and values of the school
Be willing to apply for clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register
Teaching Physical Education lessons and normal Teacher in Charge duties
Coordinate the Foundation Phase Physical Education curriculum and class lessons
Take charge of the Foundation Phase assessment and reports
Liaise with the Foundation Phase teachers with regards to all Physical Education and sport matters
Liaise with the Deputy Head of Foundation Phase with regards to structures, discipline, deadlines etc
Communication with Foundation Phase parents
Ensure opportunities for mass participation in school sport
