Southern Cross Schools is an independent, co-educational, day and boarding school located in a wildlife estate on the outskirts of Hoedspruit in the Lowveld of Limpopo Province. The beautiful natural environment in which the school is located, is used as a vehicle to teach the national Curriculum. The school extends from Grade 000 to Grade 12, is a member of ISASA, and its learners sit the Grade 12 IEB examinations.

Foundation Phase – Grade 1 Class Teacher
Applicants should be suitably qualified and experienced with energy, integrity and vision. Being in possession of a Public Driving Permit (PDP) would be an added advantage. Applicants should be self-motivated individuals with a commitment to both education and environmental conservation. A clear passion for the bush, for interacting with young people, for sport and for outdoor living is essential. Applicants should be prepared to be involved in developing an integrated thematic approach to delivering the curriculum. Also a willingness to participate in the broader life of the school, as well as an understanding of the value of extra-mural participation for both staff and learners, is vital. Applicants will have to be computer literate and be prepared to work as part of an accomplished team.
Proof of SACE registration, qualifications and past experience will have to be provided.
