Job Description

St John’s College seeks to appoint a Catering Administrator/ Assistant Catering Manager effective 1 October 2019.

The main purpose of the Catering Administrator is to assist in the administration requirements of the Kitchen. The main responsibilities include all ordering, issuing and capturing on the POS system.

The following selection criteria will be considered:

3 years’ experience in hospitality / catering management and administration
The successful candidate will require the following essential skills and attributes:
Excellent management, communication and interpersonal skills;
Conscientious commitment to customer service;
Strong team player;
Capable of working under pressure, and prioritising and scheduling workflows;
Sound organisational skills;
Experience in catering stock management;
Computer literate in Microsoft Office and POS;
Possess creativity, initiative, integrity and honesty; and
Be willing to support the Christian ethos of the organisation.
(A valid SA driver’s licence is required for the appointment)
