Product Marketing Specialist needed in Midrand. Responsible for the Marketing of the Home Entertainment (TV & Audio Visual) business units within the company, encompassing all aspects of Marketing - ATL, BTL, TTL. Responsible for the Marketing of the Home Entertainment (TV & Audio Visual) business units within the company, encompassing all aspects of Marketing
ATL, BTL, TTL. Working in conjunction with supporting departments in order to reach the Company’s Marketing objectives and goals.
Campaign Management (New Product Introductions - NPI)
Development and Implementation of New Product Introductions via strategic ATL and BTL initiatives including Television, Print, Online, Public Relations, Launch, Activations, Promotions, point of sale etc.
ATL: Liaising with media and creative agencies, compiling advertising briefs in consultation with relevant parties, requesting and sending material to relevant publications, planning and briefing of media schedules.
BTL: Activities include compiling briefs, working with creative agencies, project managing the creative, layout and content of the below-the-line material, as well as liaising with the relevant people for approvals.
Project manages product launches in line with New Product Introductions (NPI).
Brief and manage marketing agencies to develop optimal strategies for NPI.
Brief and manage agencies to develop local and/or adapt global creative for NPI.
Manage PR agency to develop key PR initiatives to ensure maximum exposure is received and PR activities enhance brand and product awareness.
Post campaign analysis to ensure maximum ROI.
Develop yearly PR Plan in collaboration with the Marketing department, senior stakeholders and PR agency.
Provide the Business Unit Head and PR agency with yearly product roadmaps, NPI Strategy and product information.
Brief PR Agency on PR requirements related to NPI which is Full PR Plan, Media launch event, media interview, press releases etc.
Provide PR agency with all communication collateral received from HQ which is media releases, high resolution product images, product specifications, availability and pricing.
Provide PR Agency with review units (if available) for media reviews.
Provide Digital Marketing Agency with yearly PRM, NPI Strategies and product information.
Provide Digital Marketing Agency with all relevant digital assets to ensure the local website is updated as per NPI strategy.
Brief Digital Marketing Agency on digital requirements per NPI strategies, outlining objectives and targets.
Brief Digital Marketing Agency on SNS requirements per NPI and/or on an on-going basis.
GTM / Trade Marketing
Provide GTM team with quarterly product roadmap and NPI Strategy roll out.
Developing and/or sourcing point-of-purchase (POP) material from local or HQ vendors related to NPI, consumer promotions, and ad hoc marketing campaigns.
Provide GTM with POP information for easy execution.
Provide GTM with necessary product information and training material developed by HQ.
Providing Key Account Managers (KAMs) and retailers with product specifications and high res images for use in listings, broadsheets, catalogues etc.
Proof read and provide input for catalogues related to the MC, HA, AC departments.
Monthly management and updating of marketing budget plans for the respective business units.
Overseeing total budget spend for the respective business units.
Processing payments to vendors related to marketing activities.
Following global procurement process to ensure maximum value received from initiatives and cost saving KPI’s met.
Develop overall yearly marketing plan and budget with the Marketing Head.
Events and Activation Management
In collaboration with the respective agencies / internal resource, manage consumer and trade shows by project managing each individual show to ensure all elements of the show which is the concept, idea generation and collateral sign-off, budget, stock, promoter briefing, giveaways, merchandising etc. are within the project time lines in order for the show to be successful.
Ensuring sample stock and relevant POP is made available for events and trade shows.
Product Marketing / Management
Supporting Sales with product information and marketing materials, to be filtered to the relevant accounts.
Providing images and product specs for owned catalogues, broadsheets and channel specific marketing campaigns.
Collating and distributing sales communications guides.
Managing product samples to be used during events, activations, PR reviews as/when required.
Supporting Corporate Marketing to ensure optimal exposure afforded to the LG Brand via local and Global sponsorships
Strategic planning and management of activations and promotions making use of Local and Global sponsorship properties
Supporting Corporate Marketing with PR and CSR initiatives as / when required.
Briefing research agencies to conduct research (qualitative and quantitative) on a number of topics to gain insight into consumer buying habits and purchase intentions.
Analyzing data received from research agencies on the local electronics market in order to better understand the environment and to develop optimal marketing plans.
Willing to support the Product Marketing Manager and Brand Marketing Manager with other duties from time-to-time.
Qualifications and Experience
Tertiary Qualification in Marketing/ Communication/ Journalism
5-7 years related experience
Good knowledge of marketing, sales and general warehouse procedures
Proven track record in customer relations
MS Office at an advanced level
Ability to use database for recording and reporting
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Possession of a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence
Highly motivated with an outgoing personality with a focus on partner relationship building
